Once upon a hangover, I was burnt out, bloated, and blaming my hormones for everything.

Drinking was my coping tool, my reward, my escape hatch. My gut was a mess. My moods were all over the place. And no amount of green smoothies or “self-care Sundays” were fixing it.

 

Fast forward to now?
I’m alcohol-free, my gut is thriving, my hormones are finally behaving—and I coach other women to do the same.

Not with shame.
Not with perfectionism.
Not with a million restrictive rules.

Most people hesitate to reevaluate their relationship with alcohol because they don’t want to be labeled.

  • They don’t see themselves as having a “problem.”

  • But deep down, they know something’s off.

  • They’re drinking more than they’d like.

  • They’re constantly managing the aftermath—fatigue, brain fog, shame, bloating, hormone chaos.

  • They’re stuck in a loop that feels normal... because it’s everywhere.

Here’s the truth:
This isn’t about whether you need to stop drinking.
It’s about whether you’d be more well—mentally, physically, emotionally—without it.

No one wants to say it—but alcohol is the number one thing holding so many women back from feeling truly well.
And the fastest path to healing? Is cutting it out entirely.

Why Is This So Hard? Because Alcohol Is Everywhere

Drinking is so deeply normalized that questioning it feels rebellious.
Try to stop, and you quickly see how tightly alcohol is woven into social life, identity, and even self-worth.

I’ve been there.
I used to take breaks just to prove I could. But I was miserable—white-knuckling it, counting the days until I could drink again.

What I didn’t realize back then was that alcohol wasn’t just a habit—it was a belief system.
I believed I needed it to unwind, to belong, to have fun.
But those beliefs were never mine. They were sold to me.
